Shipping Policy
Orders are processed and shipped as promptly as possible, provided the product is in stock. Processing and shipping may be affected by weekends, holidays, or prior arrangements.
All quoted shipping and transit times are estimates only and are based on business days, not calendar days.
We primarily ship using UPS, USPS, and FedEx. Items that exceed standard carrier weight limits will be shipped via a freight carrier.
All freight shipments are CURBSIDE DELIVERY ONLY. Inside delivery, uncrating, and installation are not included. Customers must arrange appropriate personnel and equipment for unloading at their delivery location.
Liftgate service is available for an additional fee and must be requested at the time of order placement.
Shipping estimates provided on our website are as accurate as possible; however, actual shipping charges may vary. If the final shipping cost exceeds the estimate by a significant margin, the customer will be contacted for approval prior to order processing.
Delivery dates are not guaranteed. Any shipping or transit time provided by Buhaya Solutions Restaurant Supply or third parties should be considered an estimate only. Customers are encouraged to place orders in advance to minimize potential delays due to shipping or product availability.
For expedited shipping options, customers are encouraged to contact us directly by phone or email to receive accurate and customized pricing.
Free Shipping & Free Freight
Free Shipping applies only to items clearly marked “Free Shipping” or “Free Freight.” Eligible items will ship via ground service or common carrier within the continental United States.
Free Shipping does not include delivery accessorials or surcharges, including but not limited to:
- Residential delivery
- Limited access delivery
- Liftgate service
- Metro delivery charges
Any accessorial fees or surcharges must be paid by the customer before shipment.
Inside delivery, liftgate service, and other special delivery requirements are not included in Free Freight. If additional services are requested at the time of delivery, the associated charges will be applied to the card on file.
Customer Responsibilities
The purchaser agrees to:
- Pay all shipment-related charges not collected at checkout, including those resulting from incorrect delivery information or failed delivery attempts.
- Accept all delivery attempts related to the order.
- Protect their property once the shipment has been dispatched.
Any shipments refused or deemed undeliverable by the carrier will be considered delivered and accepted. The purchaser assumes full responsibility for all related costs, issues, or claims and agrees to hold Buhaya Solutions Restaurant Supply harmless.
Customers must inspect all shipments at the time of delivery for visible or concealed damage.
If damage is discovered, the customer should refuse the shipment and immediately contact Buhaya Solutions Restaurant Supply for assistance.
If damage is discovered after signing for delivery, the customer is responsible for filing a claim directly with the carrier. Buhaya Solutions Restaurant Supply is not responsible for damages discovered after delivery acceptance.
Due to regulatory restrictions, Buhaya Solutions Restaurant Supply is not permitted to file freight claims on behalf of customers. All freight and shipping claims must be handled directly by the purchaser.
Quick Ship Items
Buhaya Solutions Restaurant Supply offers select Quick Ship items. Customers requiring delivery by a specific timeframe are strongly encouraged to contact our sales team prior to placing an order.
Quick Ship availability and guarantees are determined by the manufacturer and are subject to their individual terms and conditions. Buhaya Solutions Restaurant Supply does not guarantee ship or arrival dates. This program may be modified or discontinued without notice.
Taxes & Local Codes
Applicable sales tax will be charged on orders shipped to states where Buhaya Solutions Restaurant Supply or the product manufacturer maintains a physical presence. Tax requirements may vary by manufacturer.
For shipments to other states, the purchaser is solely responsible for all applicable sales or use taxes.
The purchaser is responsible for verifying that all purchased items comply with state and local codes prior to placing an order.
Restaurant Equipment Shipping & Return Policy
Equipment Shipping
Free Freight Eligibility applies to qualifying orders within a designated service radius of our warehouses when purchasing:
- Eligible refrigeration units, or
- Eligible cooking equipment, or
- Orders meeting minimum purchase requirements
Orders that do not qualify for Free Freight are subject to standard freight charges calculated as a percentage of the wholesale price.
Residential Delivery is available for an additional surcharge. All residential deliveries are curbside only. Inside delivery and installation services are not provided.
For locations outside the service radius, shipments are handled by third-party logistics (3PL) carriers. Delivery windows and schedules are determined by the carrier.
If inside delivery is requested and later refused or results in a return, additional delivery charges may apply.
Delivery Inspection
Customers must inspect equipment upon delivery. If immediate inspection is not possible, delivery paperwork should be signed as “Subject to inspection.”
Any damage must be reported to Buhaya Solutions Restaurant Supply promptly. Reported damages may qualify for replacement or a discount for minor cosmetic issues, subject to review.
Return Policy
Returns may be accepted under the following conditions:
- Item is unused, in original packaging, and in brand-new condition
- A restocking fee will apply
- Return shipping is the responsibility of the customer
- Original shipping fees are non-refundable
Returns unrelated to warranty claims or freight damage are subject to restocking and return freight charges.
Warranty Information
- Stainless Refrigeration: Parts and labor warranty with extended compressor coverage
- Non-Stainless Refrigeration: Limited parts and labor warranty with compressor coverage
- Cooking Equipment: Limited parts and labor warranty
All equipment is commercial-grade and is not warranted for residential use. Use in a residential setting voids the warranty.
Equipment installed in food trucks carries a limited warranty.
Freight Damage
Customers must inspect all items upon delivery and report any damage promptly. Buhaya Solutions Restaurant Supply will assist with replacement or offer a discount for minor damages when applicable.
